The Prazi Powerturn 7.5" x 16" Lathe's modern robust design offers maximum turning capabilities with high precision accuracies. Rugged vibration free headstock is equipped with Precision Ground Main Spindle that turns on large adjustable taper roller bearing. Headstock design provides quiet, smooth running operations with maximum power transmission via continuous duty motor, 9-spindle speed headstock (170-250-420-500-600-1050-1250-1800-3360 RPM) with .0002" spindle accuracy.

Extremely Rigid Ribbed Bed is made of high grade cast iron with prismatically ground V-way bed design. Apron and tailstock ride on individual V-guide ways, assuring long lasting precision, repeatability and durability. Automatic longitudinal traverse, and built-in thread cutting features enable inch, metric and module threading.

The SD400 has complete line of optional accessories for turning, milling, drilling, boring and gear cutting and facing operations. The SD400 Lathe is best designed to use the Optional Prazi BF400 MT2 Spindle Belt Drive Powermill Attachment, which can easily be mounted to the lahe thus creating a solidly built world-class lathe mill combination precision powerhouse. The BF heavy-duty mill head swivels 360 degrees. A metric SD400 Lathe version is available upon request.
