The Prazi SD300 Masterturn 5"x12" High Precision Lathe was built in Germany to set the standard for R&D labs worldwide. A benchtop precision lathe that was specifically designed to meet the exacting needs of machinists, serious hobbyists, mechanics, vocational and technical schools, medica, dental, optical, electrical and scientific laboratories. The SD300 Headstock has adjustable spindle tapered roller bearings with a spindle accuracy of .0002", which provide close tolerances on turning, facing and boring operations.

The SD300 weights a hefty 97lbs. has a precision ground bed with heavy-duty bed and headstock construction. This assures strong rigidity, high resistance to twisting and precision quality work finishes. Both cross slide and top slide have fully adjustable gibs for maintaining consistent accuracies. Taper turning is performed with standard moveable top slide. A full line of accessories is available for turning, milling, drilling, boring and gear cutting on the SD300 lathe. Optional Prazi BF400MT2 Spindle Belt Drive Powermill Attachment can be easily mounted to the lathe to create the ultimate poratable precision European made lathe mill combination. The BF heavy-duty mill head swivels 360 degrees. Optional spindle speeds are available on the SD300 lathe. A metric SD300 Lathe version is available on request.
